2012-2013 HIGH SCHOOL PRESEASON RANKINGS This years senior class is the best in the last decade. Need I say more?

1. Oak Hill, VA – (44-0)
Key Players – Troy Williams(IND), Nate Britt(UNC), Sindarious Thornwell (SC), Ike Iroegbu (WSHST).
Prediction - Top team in the nation. 44-0 last season. Ike Iroegbu Point guard, and three transfers, Nate Britt UNC Bound, Sindarious Thornwell, Troy Williams(IND), they might actually be better. Yikes.

2. Huntington Prep, WV – (28-2)
Key Players- Andrew Wiggins, Xavier rathan-mayes (FSU), Dominic Woodson, Moses Kingsley (ARK) Prediction – Some feel Wiggins could start in the NBA right now. Yeah. Add 265 lb. Dominic Woodson and 6’9 Moses Kingsley and top 100 transfers Rathan-Mayes. Only losses were to St. Anthony’s and Nerlens Noel’s Tilton squad.

3. Simeon, Ill – (32-1, 4A State Title)
Key Players- Jabari Parker, Kendrick Nunn (ILL), DJ Williams(2015)
Prediction – Dubbed the best high school player since LeBron by Sports Illustrated, Parker has serious expectations to live up to.. Only lost to Findlay Prep last season. DJ Williams is gonna be a problem. Defeated Proviso East by two for 4A State title.

4. Montverde, FL – (23-4, lost to Findlay Prep in ESPN NHSI Final)
Key Players- Kasey Hill (FLA),Dakari Johnson (2013), D’angelo Russell (2014), Devin Williams (WVU)
Prediction – Kasey Hill’s the best PG in the country not named Harrison, and newly reclassified 2013 big man Dakari Johnson and rebounding monster Devin Williams make this team as good as anyone. Lost to Findlay Prep twice last year, once in OT by two, and again the ESPN NHSI Final.

5. Findlay Prep, NV – (29-1, Won ESPN NHSI)
Key Players- Nigel Williams-G0ss (ZONA), Allerick Freeman (UCLA), Christian Wood (UNLV), Stanford Robinson (IND)
 Prediction – This team is stacked as usual, which is outrageous after losing 4 high major commits. Transfers Freeman and Robinson remind us how easily these powerhouses replenish talent. New Coach Todd Simon takes over after Mike Peck left for the Idaho Stampede.

6. Fort Bend Travis High, TX – (36-4, lost to Marcus in UIL 5A Title)
Key Players- Andrew Harrison (KY), Aaron Harrison (KY), Derrick Griffin (TA&M)
Prediction - The greatest set of twins to ever play the game, by far. Expect the Harrisons to dominate their senior year. They lost to Marcus by 4 for the Texas UIL 5A title last year.

7. Brewster, MA – (33-1)
Key Players – Deonte Burton (Marquette), Kevin Zabo (2014), Chris Mcullough (2014, CUSE), Kyle Washington (NCST), Jared Terrell (2014)
Prediction - Deonte Burton is as exciting as anyone, and Transfers Kevin Zabo, Chris Mcullough, and Kyle Washington are all studs. Plus 2014 guard Jared Terrell is nice. Lost Mitch McGary and TJ Warren from last years team, who had 9 wins against Powerhouse Programs.

8. Whitney Young, ILL – (16-10)
Key Players- Jahlil Okafor (2014), LJ Peak (2014), Paul White (2014)
Prediction- Okafor is a top ten player in the country regardless of class. Kid is 6’10, 270 with game. Add two top 60 players at the wings with Peak and White. You’ve got a squad.

9. Prestonwood, Christian, TX – (27-4, TAPPS 5A Title)
Key Players – Julius Randle, Mickey Mitchell (2015)
Prediction - Julius Randle is a monster. Mickey Mitchell’s injury hurts bad.

10. Chester, PA – (32-0, 4A State Title)
Key Players – Rondae Jefferson (ZONA)
Prediction - Rondae Jefferson will look to add to his resume as a winner, last year 32-0, with 58 wins in a row.

11. Mater Dei, CA – (33-2, Division I CIF Title)
Key Players – Stanley Johnson (2014)
Prediction - Stanley Johnson will look to keep the power house in the nation’s elite, after winning their second straight division 1 CIF state title. Helps to have legendary coach Gary McKnight (9 titles).

12. New Hampton, NH – (26-9)
Key Players – Noah Vonleh, Jeremy Miller(2015)
Prediction - Noah Vonleh will make them tough. Watch for 2015 big Jeremy Miller to produce.

13. St. Benedicts, NJ – (34-3, Lost to Findlay Prep in ESPN NHSI)
Key Players - Tyler Ennis (CUSE), Mike Young (PITT), Isaiah Briscoe (2015)
Prediction –NJ powerhouse bring back senior PG Tyler Ennis and stud sophomore Isaiah Briscoe, as well as transfer Mike Young to have a big season after being ousted by Findlay in ESPN NHSI.

14. Wheeler, GA – (17-11)
Key Players – Keyjuan Johnson (2015), Daniel Giddens(2015), Jerron Love(2015), Jaylen Brown(2015)
Prediction – Powerhouse gets transfer prodigy Jerron Love to add to Daniel Giddens, Keyjuan Johnson, and Jaylen Brown. The young guns are gonna be good.

15. St. Anthony, NJ – (32-0)
Key Players – Josh Brown (TEMP)
Prediction - Bob Hurley’s squad is coming off 65 wins in a row, a state title, and wins over NJ rival St. Benedict's and Huntington Prep. The Kyle Anderson era is over, however, and the talent left isn’t the same.

16. Montrose Christian, MD – (21-3, Lost to Montverde in ESPN NHSI)
Key Players – Ishmail Wainwright (BAY), Therence Miyamba (2014)
Prediction - Losing Justin Anderson to UVA hurts, but Baylor commit Ishmail Wainwright is a winner.

17. Salesian, CA – (33-3, CIF Champs)
Key Players- Jabari Bird (CAL)
Prediction – Top 20 recruit Bird can ball, and is set to surprise people in his senior season.

18. Paul VI, VA – (34-3, VISAA Division 1 Title)
Key Players – Tim Higgins (CORNELL), Marcus Dickerson (2015)
Prediction - Cornell commit Tim Higgins will look to help this team, but young man Marcus Dickerson might be their best player. Losing Stanford Robinson to transfer es no bueno.

19. Dematha Catholic, MD – (27-5)
Key Players – Beejay Anya
Prediction – Center Beejay Anya (who has the longest arms ever) will look to anchor the defense and keep them afloat after losing James Robinson and Jeremy Grant. Lost to Paul VI 3 times last season.

20. Omaha Central, NE – (33-0, Class A title)
Key Players - Akoy Agau (LOU)
Prediction - number one in NE, 6 of last 7 State champs. Agau is a 6’9, 240lb beast.

Best of the Rest
Tilton, MA – (27-7)
Key Players – Wayne Selden (KU)
Prediction - Selden (KU) is still there. And he’s really good. Noel and Naing losses will hurt them.

Archbishop Mitty, CA – (31-3 CIF Division II Title)
Key Players – Aaron Gordon
Prediction - Aaron Gordon is the first Cal-Hi Mr. Basketball as a junior since Tyson Chandler

 Callaway, MI – (24-6, 5A State Title)
Key Players – Malik Newman (2015)
Prediction - The Malik Newman show. Kid is the real deal.

 Hargrave Military, NC – (36-1)
Key Players – Anton Gill (FSU), Donte Clark (VT)
Prediction - Stellar season last year. Anton Gill (FSU), Terry Rozier, and Greg Mclinton transferred in, and Donte Clark balls. Devin Williams transferred out. Only loss came to Brewster. Montrezl Harrell will be missed dearly.

 Dominican, MI – (27-1, Division IV State Title)
Key Players- Duane Wilson (MARQ), Diamond Stone (2015)
Prediction – This team could very well deserve to be higher than this with the emergence of Diamond Stone, top 3 player in the 2015 class.

 Kimball, TX – (29-5, UIL 4A State Title)
Key Players – Keith Frazier

 Marcus, TX – (39-2, UIL 5A State Title)
Prediction - One of the top teams in the country last year. Back to back state champs. Losing Marcus Smart though might hurt more than any other departure in the country.

  St. Joseph, NJ – (28-2, Non-Public A State Title)
 Key Players – Karl Towns Jr. (2015)

 La Numiere, IND – (25-3, Lost to Montverde in ESPN NHSI)
Key Players – Detrick Mostella
Prediction - Lost to Montverde in the ESPN NHSI quarterfinals last season, but lost Indian recruit Hanner Mosquera-Perea .

 Proviso East, IL – (32-1, Lost to Simeon in State Title game)
Key Players – Sterling Brown (SMU)
Prediction - Sterling Brown will look to build on a strong season after losing by 2 to Simeon in the state Championship game.

 Columbia, GA – (31-1, 3A State Title)
Key Players - Tahj Sjamsid-Deen

 Grace Prep, TX – (27-4, TAPPS 4A Title) Prediction - After a strong season, the loss of Isaiah Austin and transfer of Emmanual Muddiay will keep them on the outside looking in. 27-4, TAPPS 4A title 

Lone Peak, UT – (22-3, Class 5A State Title)
Key Players - Nick Emery (BYU)

 Wenonah, AL – (29-7, 5A State title)
Key Players – Derrunya Wilson, Isaiah Matson

 Milton, GA – (28-4, 5A State Title) Prediction – Milton takes a huge hit this year as the Georgia High School Association bans them from post season play for “illegally influencing student-athletes to transfer there”. In addition to this, their coach resigned, and they lost 3 division 1 players.

2013 EVERYBODYS DOIN IT

Top big man in the 2014 class, Dakari Johnson (6'11 C) reclassified to the 2013 class. This makes for the 4th high profile prospect to make the switch this summer (Andrew Wiggins #1, Noah Vonleh #8, Wayne Selden #16). These four add to a class that already has Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Harrison twins, Aaron Gordon, James Young, and Kasey Hill, just to name a few. Best class since '03, if not better. Johnson's new 2013 ranking is 12, and becomes the top center ahead of Kennedy Meeks (#20).

MEMPHIS, CUSE

Austin Nichols,(6'8 PF) no. 12(ESPN) in the senior class is going to Memphis. He's the 4th, and best, top 100 commit for the tigers in the 2013 class (Kuran Iverson #28, Nick King #30, Rashawn Powell #92) Syracuse gets 2014 elite forward Chris McCullough (6'8 PF). ESPN has McCullough at 17 in the junior class.

2 MAJOR COMMITMENTS
